WiikHall
WiikHall structures are supplied in sizes from 10 metres wide and up. Lengths are unrestricted. The load-bearing frame of this relocatable building is a truss structure, and can be supplied in many variants. A large number of arches are held in stock at all times, ensuring short delivery times.Aesthetics and environmental suitability are issues for all types of buildings, including WiikHall structures. Like most buildings, the WiikHall has a pitched roof design and accordingly harmonises well with existing built environments. WiikHall is delivered in a wide range of colours, and each building can combine several. This variety of choice makes it possible to match a WiikHall to its surroundings.

Dimensioned to Norwegian and EU standards |
|
| O.B.Wiik’s relocatable buildings with hot-dipped galvanised steel frames are dimensioned in accordance with NS 3490 (reliability requirements), NS 3491-3 (snow loads), NS 3491-4 (wind loads) and NS 3472 (dimensioning of steel structures). Its aluminium structures are dimensioned in accordance with Euro Code 9, part 1-1, design of aluminium structures – part 1-1 general rules - general rules and rules for buildings. | |
| Hot-dipped galvanised steel | |
| The relocatable buildings have a self-supporting truss framework which provides low weight and high stability. Using hot-dipped galvanised steel ensures a long economic life. The building will be just as good after 30 years as in 12 months, and has a high second-hand value. | |
| Technical fabrics | |
| Fabric covers are manufactured in Norway and approved by the Norwegian Fire Research Laboratory, part of the Sintef research foundation. They are among the most resistant on the market to tearing and stretching, and come with a five-year guarantee against production faults. | |
| Climate conditions - 50o + 70oC | |
| A relocatable building from O.B.Wiik looks apparently the same regardless of its location. The solid basic design is tailored to local climate conditions. | |
| Well-tested tensioning system | |
| Covers are tautened with O.B.Wiik’s well-tested tensioning system, which reduces weather wear and extends the building’s life. It ensures taut and stable coverings. | |
| Secure anchoring | |
| Relocatable buildings are anchored with base plates on most substrates. In cooperation with the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute, O.B.Wiik has conducted tests to calculate the optimum use of spikes for direct anchoring in soil. Site tests are carried out if doubts exist about the firmness of the substrate. | |
